Premier operates an Aggregates sales and Recycling Facility at our Joint Stocks landfill site in County Durham.

  • The facility accepts demolition waste and rubble mainly from site clearance and land remediation projects.
  •  We sell a variety of grades of recycled aggregates and soil.
  • Aggregates and soils are produced to BS Standards.

Products sold include:

  • Sub base: Type 1.
  • Capping.
  • Pipe bedding: 10mm and 20-5mm.
  • Top soil.
  • Sub-soil.
  • Filter media: types A and B.
  • Mixed fines.
  • Trench sand.
  • 50mm single size.
  • Mixed oversize roadstone.

Testing, REACH, quality control and licences

Testing
All aggregate products that are produced conform to highway specifications. Testing includes: water absorption, particle size distribution, water soluable sulphate content, plasticity, resistance to fragmentation, soundness, moisture content/density, chemical analysys and frost heave..

REACH regulations
Premier Waste recycled aggregates have been pre-registered under the REACH regulations. You can read more about REACH here.

Site Licence
The facility is licensed by the Environment Agency, EA WML 64014 and the mobile plant operations are controlled by Durham City under licence number DCC/LAPPC/P9.
