Aggregates

Premier operates an Aggregates Recycling Facility at Joint Stocks Landfill, Coxhoe. The facility accepts demolition waste and rubble mainly from site clearance and land remediation projects. Using a variety of processes including screening and crushing the materials are segregated into various products. In order to minimise contamination all paper, plastics, metals and wood are removed during the process by an air knife and a picking station.

The facility is licensed by the Environment Agency, EA WML 64014 and the mobile plant operations are controlled by Durham City under licence number DCC/LAPPC/P9.

Premier produces a comprehensive range of high quality recycled aggregate based materials. Premier realises that recycling aggregate products is a major step in creating a sustainable way of preserving resources for the future generations.

All aggregate products that are produced conform to highway specifications and are tested daily by Durham County Council highway laboratories.

Sub base (Type 1)
Pipe Bedding 10mm & 20-5mm
Top Soil
Sub Soils
Filter Media (Types A & B)
