Purple bags replace orange for plastic bottle and cardboard recycling trial

The new improved purple bags are now issued to householders and most should only have a few orange bags remaining of the roll of 26 (half a year) that were originally issued. The purple ones will start to filter through the system in November.

The purple bags are easier to spot in the waste stream now that Sainsbury's has oved to using orange bags.
