Brandon village build a dry-stone wall with Premier’s help

Brandon Village Residents Association approached us for help in rebuilding a dry-stone wall along one side of the community allotment they were developing in the village.

For many years the area of land being made into the allotment lay bare and suffered from fly-tipping and removal of the old hedgerows. The aim of developing the community allotment was to regenerate an area of local land in the centre of the village and provide residents with a focal point for community enterprise, education and leisure. The allotment will be used to organically grow vegetables and flowers. The produce will be sold in the village and flowers used in tubs throughout the village. The residents have big plans for the allotment which will feature areas for wildlife with a pond, wildflowers, bird boxes and meadow grass. The plans also include an educational initiative.
