Environment
Premier recognises the importance of acting responsibly to ensure that our impact on the environment is minimised or eliminated where possible.
As part of an ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance Premier received accreditation to the ISO14001: Environmental Management Systems Standard across all sites and divisions in April 2006.
As part of the accreditation four main Company objectives for 2006 have been identified:
- To comply with legislative requirements
- To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Company activities
- To increase waste diversion from landfill
- To ensure that persons working on behalf of the Company have sound environmental practices
The objectives are reviewed on a regular basis, and the environmental performance of the Company is reported quarterly to a Group Environmental Audit Committee.
Environmental Report
The performance of the Company is reported annually in our Environmental Report.
