We have the following vacancies:

• LGV Driver
  
• LGV 1 Driver

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Safely drive Class 2 and 1 LGV vehicles to transport waste to various locations.
• Carry out duties in accordance with Company rules, including Health and Safety, at all times.

Please note that although the majority of the duties carried out will be to drive a Class 2 vehicle across our various fleets, there is also be a requirement to drive Class 1 vehicles from time to time within the Artic Fleet.

Experience of driving appropriate Class 2 vehicles will be required, although appropriate training will be provided. Applicants should ideally have experience of walking floor trailers, landfill site operations, and off-road driving.

The position will be based at Drum, Birtley, although there will be a requirement at times to work from other locations. When working from locations other than Drum, the daily travel allowance, currently £9.50 per day, will be paid.

Working hours are 40 basic hours per week, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate for this position is £8.29. Extra Duty Allowance (EDA) payments will be made when working on fleets that attract a higher basic rate of pay.

LGV 1 DRIVER
The Collections Division has a current requirement for a LGV Class 1 Driver to fill a vacancy in the Artic Fleet.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Safely drive a Class 1 LGV vehicle to transport waste to various locations.
  
• Carry out duties in accordance with Company rules, including Health and Safety, at all times.

Please note that although the majority of the duties carried out will be to drive a Class 1 vehicle within the Artic Fleet, there will also be a requirement to drive Class 2 vehicles from time to time within other fleets in the company, i.e. Skip, Amp, FEL, REL, and Trade Waste. 

Applicants should ideally have experience of walking floor trailers, landfill site operations, and off-road driving. Some experience of driving Class 2 vehicles as detailed above will be beneficial, although appropriate training will be provided.

The position will be based at Joint Stocks Landfill Site, Coxhoe. 

Working hours are 40 basic hours per week, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate for this position is £8.95.
