AREA SALES MANAGER - RECYCLING

Based at Prospect House, Aykley Heads, and reporting to the Divisional Director.

The successful applicant will be required to:

• Agree and set targets with the Line Manager, with responsibility then for the planned sales growth and development of the recycling service to agreed revenue and mode targets in a geographical territory.
• Establish a contact cycle with major Collection and Trade Waste customers to build a firm business relationship, ensuring that service standards are monitored and maintained, fully exploiting sales and recycling opportunities.
• Act immediately on inbound recycling enquiries, visiting the existing or potential customer, and provide feedback.
• Establish and maintain communication channels with other sales personnel, telemarketing staff and other company divisions, ensuring that all Premier accounts receive regular contact, service and support, to ensure maximization of recycling opportunities and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain information flow to the Line Manager to ensure awareness of market changes, competitor activities, difficulties and trends.
• Carryout risk assessments before signing new business and obtain details relating to site rules, access restrictions and any other relevant information to ensure that risks to quality of service, health and safety, and environmental impact are reduced or eliminated.

Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role, and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the waste industry and all associated legislation.  Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to positively promote the Company at all times.  A full, current driving licence and intermediate computer skills are also essential.
